When:  May 6, 2026 from 20:00 to 21:00 (ET)
Webinar Overview
Endosseous dental implants are placed more than 5 million times each year in the U.S., yet implant failure still affects up to half a million cases annually. With peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis affecting a significant portion of implant patients, prevention through strategic treatment planning has become essential. This webinar will review current research on how common medications influence implant failure and peri-implant disease, helping clinicians better understand risks, mechanisms, and prevention strategies. Attendees will gain practical guidance for optimizing implant outcomes—especially for patients taking medications that may compromise implant health.

Learning Objectives:

Identify the prevalence and risk factors for implant failure and peri-implantitis.

Understand the effects of common medications on implant success.

Explain mechanisms by which medications influence implant outcomes.

Discuss personalized treatment strategies for patients requiring implant therapy while taking these medications.
